As part of the development of London Ashford Airport we are looking to expand our current team with some exciting new positions.

 

Catering Assistant

Working in Biggles Bar at London Ashford Airport Ltd, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service skills to all of our customers and dealing with their catering needs.

Previous Customer Service experience is not essential, as training will be given on site. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is preferable.

The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills as well as a 'Can Do' attitude. You will have a good eye for detail as it is essential to ensure safety standards are met at all times.

Finally you must have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts including earlies, lates, weekends & bank holidays.

 

Ground Transport (GT) Technician.

London Ashford (Lydd) Airport are seeking to recruit an experienced ground transport technician.

Due to the diverse nature of vehicles operated throughout the company applicants should be experienced in all aspects of the service and repair of cars and commercial vehicles. NVQ and/or City & Guilds certification are a pre-requisite requirement for applications to be considered.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, be able to manage their own workload and have a flexible approach to work.

Candidates must have a full UK driving licence, own cabinet of tools, eligibility to work in the UK and meet the requirements of UK security services checks.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work.

 

IT Engineer

London Ashford Airport Ltd are now recruiting an IT Engineer to work with our ATC/ IT Engineering department.

The successful applicant should have previous aviation or IT experience although not essential as full training can be given. They must have good knowledge of the following software:-

Windows Xp Pro, Antivirus, MS Office, Network Hardware and a basic knowledge of electrical supplies would be a distinct advantage.

The hours of work are 40 hours per week Rostered, the day to day tasks will involve, daily up-keep of IT equiptment, troubleshooting IT issues with Staff equiptment, liaison with equiptment suppliers, acquirement of technical publications, replenishment and control of all stock and stores, responding to enquiries from staff and the control and supervision of contractors on site.

The salary is up to £25,000 per annum dependant on qualifications and previous work experience.

 

Marketing Executive

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, dynamic Marketing Executive with at least two year¡¦s marketing or aviation experience to play an integral role in the implementation of the Company¡¦s Marketing Strategy.

Supporting the Marketing Manager, you will be required to assist in the development of the Marketing Department and raising the profile of London Ashford Airport Ltd.

You will be a self starter who is motivated and experienced about marketing initiatives and who has an understanding of developing new markets.

Due to the nature of the role you will have excellent project management and communication skills in order to develop client relationships and work to tight deadlines whilst managing a varied workload.

Educated to degree level, you will hold a CIM qualification or should be studying towards it and you should also have an excellent knowledge of MS Office. The ability to speak another European language would be a distinct advantage.

Finally, you will need to have drive, stamina, attention to detail, team playing qualities and have the flexibility and confidence to deal with new situations.
